Tracy’s Story
I deal with things differently now compared to 10 years ago when my darling daughter was diagnosed with cancer.
It certainly taught me the importance of self care and exercise. I needed to find mental balance as part of my coping mechanism.
Meditation became a tool that helped me to cope. It helped me to stay calm, release my fears and doubts and break the cycle of negative thinking. Practicing meditation daily for the past 4 years has helped me to be okay with not knowing what is next in my life, not to live in fear and to stay in the present moment, especially when life gets challenging.
I used to think that I couldn’t meditate, now I know I that couldn’t live without it. It all began with a meditation course I took in California and from there I taught myself.
To make our meditation practise meaningful we need to take the lessons of it into our daily lives. If the ocean can calm itself, so can you, we are both salt water mixed with air.
If you can spare 10 minutes a day in a quiet space, close your eyes and breathe, then you can meditate.
